The task was to combine 3 sounds into one and make the sound more cohesive. The “Audacity” application was used.
Here are the modifications made to the sound:

I used these tools to achieve the desired result: the selection tool, the envelope tool, trim audio outside selection, and silence audio selection.

“Ylesanne 02” – a male voice reading an excerpt from an audiobook.

“Ylesanne 04.2” – Kim Boekbinder’s voice performing “The Impossible Girl.”

“Ylesanne 04” – the sound of flowing water.

First, I arranged each track in the necessary order and adjusted the volume. Then, I removed unnecessary segments and started working on the sound clips, either decreasing or increasing the volume as per the project’s requirements.

Homework

The task was to choose a story and record it on a voice recorder.
The project had to include 3 stories: recording with my own voice, special effects, and musical accompaniment.

I recorded the story on a voice recorder. The story is titled “The Whispering Grove” with the following text:

In a quiet village, hidden away behind tall trees, there was a secret grove. The trees in this grove could talk to each other, sharing stories in hushed voices.

One day, a curious child named Mia stumbled upon this grove. She heard the soft muttering of the trees and stopped to listen.

Mia felt a deep connection with the trees and promised to keep their secret. She visited them every day, sharing her dreams and worries, knowing that they were listening and understanding.

Over time, Mia became the village’s storyteller, sharing the wisdom and tales whispered by the trees. And so, the whispering grove’s magic continued to bring wonder and unity to the village.

After recording the story, I edited out any unwanted parts and added the sound of rustling leaves along with soothing background music to accompany the story. At certain points, I made the narration louder while keeping the accompanying music softer. I accomplished all of this using the Audacity application.
